(\u201cArcelorMittal\u201d) today presented its steel-headed cane to Captain Abhinay Kumar of the AM HAMBURG, the first ship to leave its <span class=\"nowrap-nom\">Port-Cartier<\/span> port facilities in\u00a02024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Originating from Eisenhutten, Germany, the<em> AM Hamburg <\/em>left ArcelorMittal`s port facilities bound for the port of Hansapor, carrying more than 77,394 tonnes of iron ore concentrate aboard. The <em>AM Hamburg<\/em> was built in 2013. It measures 230 metres long by 32 metres\u00a0wide.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ArcelorMittal\u2019s internationally recognized port at <span class=\"nowrap-nom\">Port-Cartier<\/span>, inaugurated in 1961, is the biggest private port in Canada. In 2023, ArcelorMittal\u2019s port facilities in <span class=\"nowrap-nom\">Port-Cartier<\/span> welcomed 308 concentrate and pellet ships and handled over 24 million tonnes of iron ore, raw materials, fuel and\u00a0grain.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About ArcelorMittal Infrastructure Canada G.P.<br>and ArcelorMittal Mining Canada\u00a0G.P.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Subsidiaries of ArcelorMittal, a world\u2019s leading steel and mining company and among the top five producers of iron ore products globally, ArcelorMittal Infrastructure Canada G.P. (\u201cAMIC\u201d) and ArcelorMittal Mining Canada G.P. (\u201cAMMC\u201d) are two complementary entities operating on Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s <span class=\"nowrap-nom\">North\u00a0Shore<\/span>. AMIC ensures the transport of concentrate between <span class=\"nowrap-nom\">Mont-Wright<\/span> and <span class=\"nowrap-nom\">Port-Cartier<\/span>, and operates a seaport in <span class=\"nowrap-nom\">Port-Cartier<\/span> to transport and ship AMMC\u2019s products to four continents. AMMC produces iron oxide concentrate and pellets for the steel market.
